The world is not beautiful.

"The World is Not Beautiful!"
So don't be pushed by your problems, be led by your dreams.

I was always a person afraid of dogs. Well, not exactly the type of girl who'd scream and kick each time coming accross a dog in the street, but let's just say that dogs in general always provoked me a certain itch. I never had problems with the small or quiet ones. I say small OR quiet because I could easily develop a study case about their energy being inversely proportional to their size.
Basically, I can live with dogs who can't reach my shoulders (while jumping, I'm tiny but not THAT tiny!). I still remember the day I went to have dinner at a friend's house and, as soon as we parked the car and went out, I saw this huge ball of fur running, panting and drooling everywhere. Needless to say, Sara never entered a car so quickly. And, no matter how mean that might sound, the animal had to be locked outside.

But what I wanted to explain with all of this was that I want a dog now. It must be small, with little tendency to grow, and terribly cute. The type of dog who can give you diabetes just by looking at you!!
I've this pet store near my house which always has the most cuddly puppies of the mankind and there's this one in particular that is totally ogling me with those sweet - and increadibly hard to ignore - eyes!

Mads - The Lying Game

I'd gladly switch closets with Mads from the tv show The Lying Game. It's not the best show but the whole cast is definitely one of the best dressed ones.

Well, I'm finally done with work for this week! I've been going crazy, running around everywhere. Working here, working there, and so on. In these last 3 days I didn't even put my eyes on my computer, and trust me, that says a lot! I'll even dare to say that I spent 10 long minutes searching for the damn computer since I didn't even remember in which place I left it (if you're interested, it was under our dinner table!). But, oh well, it's all for a good cause. Lately my wallet had too much strokes so it definitely needs a small recover once in a while.

And speaking of recovers. Last night, I had this brilliant idea of going out with some friends, completely aware that I had to go to work early in the morning,. This means that for tonight I'll just try to relax as much as I can. It will be me, Doctor Seldon Cooper and Sir.M&M's Package having an esplendid night!

Oh, Las Vegas!

I said it once, I'll say it twice...I wanna go to Vegas! I always talked about how much I'd love to get married in there, but for now I decided to start asking a little less to see if it works. Now I just want to at least go there.

It's just one of those places where a person wishes she could lose herself in there. And when I say lose I mean it in every possible meaning of the word, if you know what I mean...

If there's anyone interested in giving me this trip or at least helping me getting it, please contact me, I assure you I'm an adorable package! hahah

Londres!

I decided to clean my computer the other day and because of that I had to go through all my files in order to put everything on its place. And that's when I came accross my old file with pics from my trip to London.
It's weird to think that was 5 years ago when it only seems 1 or 2 years. It's even more awkward to see me with 16 years-old, fattie, gross hair and basically a ridiculous human being. But, oh well, not all of us can be thankful to puberty.

Hospital St.Mary's Hospital ou, como prefiro chamar, Hospital-Onde -Um-Dia-Irei-Dar-À-Luz-Os-Meus-Filhos. Ficava perto do hotel onde dormimos. E olhem só o pópó todo querido!!

Hospital St.Mary's Hospital or, as I like to call it, the Hospital-Where-I-Will-Give-Birth-To-My-Kids-One-Day. It was pretty close to the hotel where we stayed. And look at the cute car!!

~*~

Picture taken at some park which name I refuse to get up and go search for it. Despite being already spring when I went there, you can clearly see how british weather seems to be lovely! hahah
And look at the cute couple at the bench! When I get old and retired (I like to think I'll have retirement, ok?) I'm gonna be like that old lady on the picture. I'm gonna  drag my husband to the park and make him put up with me until he dies with an heart attack.

~*~

Ainda no mesmo parque. A minha pessoa numa versão bolinha.
Still at the same park. Little me - fat version.

~*~

Onde quer que me case -se me casar - vai ter que haver destas árvores, porque são adoráveis e eu quero. A noiva quer, a noiva tem.

Wherever I'll get married - IF I get married - I wanna have these trees there, just because they're adorable and I want it. The bride wants, the bride gets.

~*~

A minha pessoa obviamente atrasada para apanhar o comboio para Hogwarts.
Little me obviously late for train to Hogwarts.

~*~

At the train station where Harry Potter movies were recorded. I'd give you the right name of the place but, again, I'm too lazy to go check it.

~*~

This was taken again at the same station. As you can see, there were some works there, the filmings were gonna start a few months later. This was the place where, in the first movie, Harry looks at his ticket, says something about how that platform doesn't exist and the boring Hagrid disappears. Shame he appears in all the followed books.

~*~

Our transportantion during the whole trip...because that's what a real tourist chooses.

~*~

Gosto tanto daquela coisa ali no topo. É querida, adorável e quase a tocar na linha do "gay".
I love that little thing at the top. It's sweet, adorable and almost "gay".

~*~

Equus - o verdadeiro motivo porque fomos lá. Oh, peça mai' linda.
Equus - the real motive we went there. Oh, what a lovely play.

~*~

Gosto tanto desta foto.

I LOVE this picture so much. It was always my favorite by far! Working as a policeman there must be way funnier!

~*~

Precisa de apresentações? ;)
Does it really need presentations? ;)

~*~

Tower Bridge - and yes, I only remember the name because of the next photo. It's one of those bridges that when we see it live the only thing we say is "Look, it really exists in real life!". I blame the movies.

~*~

Eu, adolescente.
Little me, teenager.

~*~

I like to wave goodbye when I'm in Porto and I see these buses. But maybe that's just me being a dork as always.

~*~

Hamleys - basically, a Toys 'R Us for those with better taste, class and money in the pockets. People in that city seems to have the need to be more chic!

~*~

Pictures like this makes me almost sorry for those who have to take their driving lessons in London. But then I think that means they LIVE in London...and I'm not sorry anymore.

~*~

Muito mais giro à noite.
Much better at night.

~*~

Novamente no parque. Sim, tínhamos hotel e não dormimos no parque! Fiquem lá descansadinhos!
At the park...again. Yes, we did have an hotel so we didn't sleep there, keep calm!

~*~

My future home's gate. They say this belongs to royalty but, for me, this must have been stolen from the Hufflepuffs.

~*~

The house where I'm gonna live with Prince Harry. I liked William better but, since he's already taken and out of the market, I guess I'll have to satisfy myself with the second best option.

~*~

A bonus picture, the backdoor of the theater when we went and where Dan gave autographs while his stupid dad acted like his bodyguard.

Wouldn't be great if we all could have a pair of boobs like these? Personally, when it comes to this aspect, unfortunately I ended more like my father. It's sad but maybe I could rent it and make a football stadium in it, who knows?
Deep down, I suspect this was the result of the constant need to save money that my mom has. When she went to the storks' factory to order me, the boobs subject probably required an extra money so she ended up thinking to herself  and convincing my dad "Oh, let that go, man, our little girl won't need that". Wrong, really wrong!! So there I was, ordered without boobs, as a defective material. I'm  even starting to believe that, at that time, I was probably on the sales shopping part or where they put the material from the previous collections.

Come to mama!

Dá aquele toque feminino e adorável a qualquer mulher. Oh coisinhas mais lindas da mamã.

Some time ago I wrote something about my need to spend money when I'm not feeling at my best. Well, it looks like karma likes to kick me in the ass or something close to that. These type of situations only happends to me during that time of the month when there's no extra money to spend.
It might not even be a very difficult time but I think that, only now, reality actually hit me in the face, figuratively speaking, and everything is falling over me. I'm trying to stay safe on my whatever-mood because it really can't get worse than already is but I really hoping for better times. And it's basically because of this whole situation that I definitely think that any of these dresses would look amazing on my wardrobe. I believe my wardrobe is magic! There's always a small space in there, especially when we're talking about these type of beauties. I'm developing a special love for the first four dresses. I've no idea where are they from or if they're even being sell anywhere, but I love floral dresses and the shapes are simply perfect. It totally gives the feminine touch which makes any woman adorable while wearing it. Oh, sweet little things, come to mama.

I just feel like catching them in a store and stand there looking at them like a freak.

Something I don't really understand and honestly I doubt I ever will, is why us, women, need to live our entire lives answering what I call "The Life Questions".
When we're young and still growing, during that part of life when we're boring, deformed and do not really know what exactly we are, we always have someone asking us "What about your boyfriend?". No matter how old the other person is or how close she is to us...we always get that question during  a small talk. It's like you NEED to have one.
When we finally get a boyfriend we think we can finally breath in relief. I mean, until the next one comes! "When is the wedding?". And what's even more annoying is the fact that they always ask the woman, not the man in the relationship. I don't know if they're trying to call us witches or something around that but it's still unfair.
But a marriage eventually comes, at least most of the times, and with marriage comes another type of pressure, and the hardcore one. "What about children?". The idea of answering "What about a trip to Himalayas without return?" is amazing, I know and I understand but we eventually have a kid and it comes another one "Don't you think he needs a brother?". People need to understand that we don't have a doll factory between our legs!
What's next? "So, what about death...?"

Once upon a time...

When I was little and still an excuse of a person, I was the biggest Harry Potter nerd around town and I knew.  by heart, the first page of The Philosopher's Stone, even better than the multiplication table. And since we're throwing away random dirty little secrets from childhood, at that time I used to like to think that I'd end up married with this young boy. Thank God we're only 13 once in a life time.

Louise Erdich.

“Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.”

I always dreamed about having my own studio apartment. A small, modern and airy place I could call mine. Since we still don't pay taxes for dreaming, I always wanted to have a place in New York. It's not that I'd be completely unsatisfied to have my own place in a portuguese land, but a girl can only dream...
Because of this silly dream I've recently noticed I've a slightly weird tendency. I enter a small store and I find myself thinking about how it would look if it was actually "my" own studio Yes, a s.t.o.r.e.
Of course, nothing could beat my dream-apartment, completely glassed, on the 38th floor in a busy New York street. But, oh well, when there's nothing better to do, we spend a few of our time dreaming and planning a non-existent life. It doesn't hurt, right?

Studios are the cutest thing ever!

Oh, dear life...

“Sometimes hours can feel like minutes, and sometimes a single second can last a lifetime.”

O aviso fica feito.

I've a small weakness. Well, actually I do have several small weaknesses but this one is special because it envolves one of the most sacred objects for any human being...the wallet. We all have different ways of dealing with difficul situations and different ways to improve our mood when someone thinks it's funny to make us feel bad. There's people who cry for hours while listening to sappy music, people who eat ice cream and chocolates in front of the tv, people who cook and people who go shopping (like me!). I don't care if I just can buy a chewing gum, when I feel bad I know I just need to get out of home and spend some money, even if it's only 5 cents.
In short, I'll just say that today someone gave me the perfect reason to buy a new nail polish to harden my nails. If another guy decides to do the same thing one more time I'll just purchase some calcium to harden the nails even more. And yes, this was a warning!

All in all, a mini-sara deixa um "olá" para o Sr.Joaquim, onde quer que ele esteja agora.
