Happy fangirl!

Hoje fui sair com as romenas (aka Medd e Ni!) e, sabe-se lá como, concordaram em ver o The Hunger Games. Ora, sendo eu a pita histérica que sou desde que li o primeiro livro, não poderia ter ficado mais satisfeita! No geral, foi até das melhores adaptações que vi, não cortaram muito e até adicionaram pontos de vista dos organizadores dos jogos, dando a entender sobre o que será o segundo filme da saga. Resumindo um pouco...

Pontos Positivos:

• Morte da Rue. Já nos livros me fez chorar feita uma madalena perdida, por isso gostei bastante que também no filme lhe tenham dado a devida importância. 
• Construção do jogo em si. Gostei do modo como apresentaram o jogo. Os cenários, o apresentador, as explicações ao logo do filme.
• A revolta do Districto 11. Não estava a contar que colocassem isto mas adorei. Mostra o porquê do Presidente dos jogos não gostar da Katniss e  remete ao segundo livro.
• Haymitch. Não o suporto nos livros mas no filme está fenomenal. 

Pontos Negativos:

• Insistência em relembrarem a relação Gale/Kaniss. O moço raramente é mencionado durante os jogos e teimaram em focar-se no rapaz. É certo que no segundo livro mostram mais dele, mas não é como se a Katniss se tivesse lembrado muito dele durante os jogos.
• Fraca explicação do que a Katniss sente pelo Peeta. No filme parece que ela simplesmente se apaixona por ele quando no livro ela supostamente está a fingir (apesar de a meio começar a gostar um bocadinho do coitado!)
• Final. É suposto o Peeta e a Katniss terminarem zangados por ele descobrir que afinal ela estava a fingir. É giro que tenham omitido a "pseudo-briga" deles quando vão ter que depois explicar o porquê de começarem o próximo filme separados.

Today I went out with my romanians (aka Medd & Ni) and, only God knows why, they agreed to go watch The Hunger Games. Oh well, me being the big fangirl that I am since I read the first book, couldn't be happier about it. The movie is one of the best movie adaptations! They didn't cut that much and they actually added a few scenes from the organizers' point of view which kinda helps us understand a little more about what's gonna happend in the next movie. All in all...

Positive things:

• Rue's death. When I read the books I cried like a little girl at this scene. I obviously loved how they gave it the same big meaning on the movies.
• The Game's show. The way they presented the game was really cool. The scenarios, presenters and all the explanations were great.
• The rebellion from the District 11. I didn't think they were gonna add that scene and I found it amazing. It actually shows why the President of the games doesn't really like Katniss and, once again, shows us a little more about the second book.
• Haymitch. I can't stand him in the books but I thought he was phenomenal in the movies!

Negative Things:

• How they keep going back to Gale and Katniss relationship. The boy is rarely mentioned in the book while she's playing the game so I didn't get why they kept focusing on him. Yes, they show more about him in the second book, but it's not like Katniss even remembered him that often.
• Very poor description about the way Katniss feels about Peta. In the movie it seems that she simply fell in love with him but it was supposed to look like she was faking it (despite the fact that, in the middle of the game, she actually kinda likes him a little bit)
• The End. It was supposed to end with Peeta and Katniss fighting (pretending they still loved each other) because he discovers she was just pretending to love him. It's funny they deleted that "wannabe fight" scene since the next movie starts with them separated.
